Our Story

“We’ll Sea”

In 2018, I published the photo series We’ll Sea—asking what forms of life might inhabit our oceans by 2050, when plastic waste is projected to outweigh all fish combined.

The series first appeared in The Washington Post and was later featured by magazines and platforms worldwide, before appearing in my first book, Our Artificial Heritage.

These images were not warnings. They were portraits of a future already in motion—a world where nature does not disappear, but reorganizes itself. Where life does not end, but transforms.

What we discard does not go away. It changes state.

From this work, Plastic Evolution emerged. Each design carries a fragment of that original visual world—an artistic translation of a reality still unfolding. Created to be felt before it is understood. Worn on the body, carried into everyday life.

This is not just clothing.
It is a fragment of what we are creating—and a quiet question about what we still have the power to change.
